|It is a hot day! This series of images was taken in the sun so the shadows are nice and crisp and all cast from one source. The varied colours of the siding's weathering are the result of brushing Humbrol enamel from the bottom of an unstirred tinlet on with a short bristled flat brush. The weathered woodgrain on the corner posts came about the same way. The seagulls just sort of flew up from my goodies collection and certainly add a light-hearted touch to the diorama. They also form a subtle focal point as the eye tends to settle on them from certain angles.
