The train watchers
I have taken photos of my layouts from the time I started building them. Photos don't lie, or at least they didn't before the advent of digital imaging massaging. When I get realistic images I know I am doing well. Grass is so important to making a picture look real that it is worth spending time making it. The grass here is fake fur airbrushed and trimmed. The weeds are Woodland Scenics foam. Little cameos, like the very Brit looking youngsters in their school uniforms watching the trains go by, play an important part in all my layouts. Note the young fellow with his delivery bike about to join in the fun. The tree armature is from my favourite bush - the Potentilla.
