Traction engine
Another of my favourite low angle shots. The traction engine is from a kit made by a descendant company of Bassett Lowke. It is mainly white metal castings that were beautifully finished. The holes were all predrilled for instance. This probably will not mean much to those who have never assembled a white metal kit but believe me it is great to have it done for you. Even 10 years ago it was not a cheap kit. It makes up into a lovely model as did the 3 other kits I got at the same time. The steam lorry was another that is seen in this PhotoGallery. Also note the great depth of field in the image. Another of my hand-held Coolpix ones.
Note how the the detail on the WAAF (Womans Auxillary Air Force) lady is clearly visible thanks to the accentuated A shadows.
